Tightness

What would be a sign of gastro chest pain?
Burning sensation (acid reflux)
What would be a sign of muscular chest pain?
Painful to touch
What are some of the sinister causes of a cough?
Lung cancer
Mesothelioma
Pulmonary metastases
What are some courses of a cough (non-sinister)?
Pulmonary fibrosis
Sarcoidosis
Pneumonitis
What is sputum composed of?
Neutrophils
Eosinophils
Bacteria/fungus/virus
Airway secretions
What is haemoptysis?
Coughing up of blood.
What is massive haemoptysis?
More that 500ml in 24 hours
What is non massive haemoptysis?
Less that 500 ml in 24 hours.
What are the big four respiratory causes of haemoptysis?
Infection
Carcinoma
PE
Bronchiectasis
