How do you present a murmur?

A
  • Always time w/ carotid
  • Always mention if louder in inspiration or expiration
  • Always talk about radiation

Eg There is a ejection systolic murmur of at least grade 3 severity heard best in held expiration over the aortic valve with the patient sitting forwards which radiates to the carotids
