Keep tabs on
To monitor or keep track of something.

Play by ear
To handle a situation in an impromptu or flexible manner.
E.g., “We might need to play it by ear if the supplier doesn’t meet the deadline.”
Take something with a pinch of salt
To view something with skepticism or not take it literally.

Walk on eggshells
To be very cautious about one’s words or actions to avoid upsetting someone.
E.g., “We need to address the issue directly rather than walking on eggshells.”

To take on too many tasks or responsibilities, making it difficult to do any of them well.

Facing two difficult or undesirable options.

To start something and proceed at a fast pace with immediate effectiveness.

Applying to all areas or members of a group.
E.g., The salary increases won’t just affect new hires, it will apply across the board.
