The Present System has 3 different tenses so you when you use the Present System you can say something is happening now (Present), something happened in the past over a continuous amount of time (Imperfect) and that something happened in the future (Future).

In the Present System, how do you find the stem of a verb, like amo, amare, amavi, amatus, that you will add endings to?
You take the “re” off of the 2nd Principal Part. So “amare” becomes “ama” and endings like, o,m,t,mus,tis,nt or bam, bas, bat, bamus…. or bo, bis, bit…can be added to it to say what you want to say.
