Status Epilepticus
- Inj. Lorazepam 4mg/ampoule
Dispense 2 ampoule
Inject 4mg IV Stat
Repeat after 10min if convulsions do not stop - Inj. Fosphentoin 100mg/2ml ampoule
Dispense 4 ampoules
Repeat 4th hourly in saline IV infusion
Typhoid Fever
-Inj. Ceftriaxone 1G
Dispense 10 ampuoles
1 ampuole to be injected IVce daily for 5 days

- TAB. CEFIXIME 200MG OR TAB. OFLOXACIN 200MG
DISPENSE 20 TABLETS
1 TABLET TO BE TAKEN TWICE DAILY FOR 10 DAYS

INJ. LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT HEPARIN S/C
INJ.UROKINASE 3 LAC units IV infusion in 10 min then 3 lac units/hr
for 12 hrs
Tab. METOPROLOL 50mg added after stabilization of the patient.
Moderate hypertension
•Tab. ATENOLOL 50 mg

1 tablet to be taken once a day for 1 month

Angina Pectoris
• Tab. Glyceryl trinitrate 0.5 mg
1 tablet sublingual when the patient complain of pain
Not to swallow tablet and spit it as soon as pain reduced

Dispense 21 tablets
1 tablet to be taken thrice daily for 7 days
• Tab. Atenolol 25 mg OD
Dispense 7 tablets
1 tablet once daily for 7 days
Review after 7 days
Asthma
• Inhalational Salbutamol 100mg/puff
Dispense one metered dose inhaler
Inhale 2 puffs 4 times a day
• Budesonide inhalation 250 mg/puff
Dispense one metered dose inhaler
Inhale 1 puff 4 times a day
• Tab. Salbutamol 4 mg
Dispense 21 tablets
1 tablet to be taken 3 times a day for 1 week
Review after 1 week
Parkinsonism
• Levodopa 100 mg + Carbidopa 100 mg
Dispense 45 tablets
1 tablet to be taken thrice daily after meal for 15 days
Review for 15 days
Tuberculosis
Intensive phase
• Tab Isoniazid 300 mg
• Tab Rifampicin 600 mg
• Tab Ethambutol 800mg
• Tab Pyrazinamide 1500mg
• Dispense 60 tablets
• 1 tablet of each to be taken daily for 2 months
Continuation phase
Tab Isoniazid 300 mg
Tab Rifampicin 600 mg
Tab Pyridoxine 10mg
Dispense 120 tablets
1 tablet of each to be taken daily for 4 months
Dysmenorrhoea
Mefenamic Acid 250mg
Dispense 9 tablets
One tablet to be taken 3 times a day
Grand Mal Epilepsy
Tab. Carbamazepine 200mg
Dispense 90 tablets
One tablet 3 times a day for one month
Drug induced Parkinsonism
Tab. Benzhexol 2mg
Dispense 11 tablets
Take one tablet orally at bedtime for 3 days followed by 2 times a day for the next 4 days
Review after one week
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Tab. Methotrexate 7.5mg
Dispense 4 tablets
Take one tablet orally after food once a week for 4 weeks
Tab. Celecoxib 100mg
Dispense 10 tablets
Take one tablet 9rally in case of severe pain after food
Tab. Folic acid 5g
Dispense 7 tablets
Take one tablet orally once a day after food
Review after one week
Status Asthmaticus
High flow humidified oxygen inhalation 4 litre/min
• Inj. Hydrocortisone Hemisuccinate 100mg IV stat
Dispense 1 ampoule
100 mg to be given slow IV stat ; repeat 100mg every 6th hourly
• Salbutamol2.5 mg+ Ipratropiumbromide 1.5mg nebulization
3ml of Salbutamol and Ipratropiumto be combined and given as nebulization over 30 minutes
• Inj. Terbutalin0.4 mg/ml
Dispense 1 ampoule
1 ampoule to be given SC stat
• Endotrachealintubation and mechanical ventilation if needed
• Treat chest infections with interval antibiotic therapy
• Correct dehydration and acidosis with saline + sodium bicarbonate
Insomnia
Tab. Zolpidem 10mg
Dispense 10 tablets
1 tablet for 10 days at bed time after food
Avoid alcohol and caffeine
Microcytic Hypochromic Anaemia
Tab. Ferrous Sulphate 200mg
Dispense 30 tablets
1 tablet once daily for 1 month
