Steps for radiography
Turn on X-ray machine (button on the side)
Sign into the computer
Select all programs
Select SOPRO imaging
Then press it again
Press any name
Type in your name last 3 letters of name
How to use dexter
Adjust dexter
Open dexter using leaver, holding his jaw
Place fossor plate into mouth
Close slowly, needs to be fully closed
How to prepare a phosphor plate for x-ray exposure
Grab cardboard and phosor plate
The silver part around the hole area
Add into plastic barrier
BLSCK TO BLACK
Then remove adhesive strip
Stick them together
For stick on cardboard tab
-remove back paper
-remove at fold
-fold them
-leave a little left to stick unto the black phosphor plate
Add to quick bite (yellow)
Use bottom to slide the phosphor in
How to process radiograph
Press right exposure
Eg posterior bitewing
Press adult
Open dexters mouth WIDE
Film from side then turn
Let him bit firm
Align the cylinder straight
Go to exposure , face patient in case they move
Ask a teacher that u ready
Then expose , press button put it back
Go to pt,remove PID away
Take of tab on tray , take plastic off half way
Remove gloves, hand hygiene go back get plate
Take it over to processing section
How to use the machine
Place plate on non dominant hand
No gloves
Search name
Animated film shows u its ready
Place the white to the right
Metal sensor face
When u hear a beep pull plate away
Then image will be protected onto the screen
Dexter w/o quick bite
Occlusal plane is parallel to the floor
Hold tab open when u close dexters mouth
Grab PID that’s the cylinder plastic (vertical)
Deter with quick bite
Black is facing PID
Move tongue out of the way
The PID does against the yellow/quick bite
PID is on the left
PID AND QUICK BITE image
USE X RAY HEAD STOPPER
Use it gently
Bc wires will flip
Turn X-ray unit off at end of each session
