What is Prejudice?
Holding a false belief of a certain group of people due to stereotypes.
What is discrimination?
Unfavourable treatment of a person or group.
What is prejudice caused by?
Threat of jobs and housing being taken up, fear of foreign customs and traditions, and the ideology of a certain thing being the only thing that is right.
What can discrimination lead to?
Violence, harassment, inferior education, unfair earnings, poor housing.
What did John Stuart Mill say about freedom?
It is the basic necessity to lead a happy life - liberty principle.
What is Freedom of action?
Gives people to act how they want.
What is an intervention?
Reducing someone’s actions in their best interests.
What is Freedom of Speech?
Gives people the freedom to say what they want. It is the basis for modern democracy.
What is Freedom of the Press?
Allows the press to report on what they want.
What is libel?
Writing and publishing untruths about someone.
What is slander?
Speaking untruths about someone in public.
What is Freedom of belief.
Gives people freedom to believe what they want and is necessary in a multi-cultral society.

What are some examples of marginalised people?
Disabled people, immigrants, women, ethnic minorities.
Why does society marginalise people?
Prejudice
