A
During pregnancy, treating bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis with metronidazole ( 1st line ) is effective and offers no teratogen risk. Benefit of metronidazole in the reduction of preterm birth was demonstrated for the combination of this medication with other antibiotics.
