What information must a pilot-in-command be familiar with before a flight?
A
All available information including:
- Weather reports and forecasts
- Fuel requirements
- Alternatives if the flight cannot be completed as planned
- known ATC delays
- Runway lenghts of intended use
- takeoff and landing distances

What are the fuel requirements for flight in IFR conditions?
A
- The aircraft myst carry enough fuel to the first airport of intended landing (including the approach), the alternate airport (if required), and thereafter, for 45 minutes at normal cruise power.
- If an altermate airport is not requied, enough fuel must be carried to fly to the destination airport and land with 45 minutes of fuel remaining.
