What does the VPM2 vacuum spatulator do
it mixes up the water and stone and vacuums out the bubbles
what does the Aquaspense SL do
accurately calculates the amount of water needed for a certain amount of stone and dispenses that water
What does the bench vibrator do
it vibrates the stone/water mix and allows air bubbles to come to the surface, so that you done have bubbles in the stone you pore
What does the model trimmer do
trims and shapes the casts
what does the trimming and polishing lathe do
trims land areas of casts and polishes resin provisional restorations and removable prosthesis
what does the vacuum former do
makes vacuum formed molds from thermoplastic materials for provisional restorations, whitening trays, mouth guards essix appliances (not as accurate as the biostar, but easier and uses less expensive materials)
What does the biostar do
uses air pressure to mold thermoplastic material into mouth guards, orthodontic retainers (more accurate than the vacuum former)
can we use the biostar on our own
nope, we need direct faculty supervision
What does the steam cleaner do*
cleans wax and other debris from casts using steam
Where do we use the steam cleaner*
shoot the steam and debris into the trash can not the sinik
what does the ultrasonic cleaner do
uses ultrasonic waves to power off debris from the surface of hard materials such as metals and acrylic resins
what does the burnout oven do
vaporizes the wax pattern within the investement (used in lost wax casting process)
what does the bench top sand blaster do
blasts sand to remove debris from the surface of metal or resin (very abrasive)
What is the walnut shell blaster used for
blast stone debris from hard devices like processed dentures.
what do you do if anything gets in your eyes
wash them out immediately in the eye wash station
