What is the incarnation?
When god became flesh
eg. (Jesus was god’s incarnation)
Why is the incarnation important?
The incarnation is important because it shows god coming down to earth as a human and teaching us how to live and pray.
What is advent?
The time leading up to Jesus’s birth when people prepare for jesus’s birth.
How do Christians prepare for advent?
They light a candle every Sunday until Christmas which all represent different emotion they also might do good deeds like. Volunteering at a soup kitchen or or a hospital they may also speak kindly and spend extra time in prayer.
When does advent start?
The first Sunday of December.
What is a disciple? (Definition)
A follower who has committed themselves to following a particular person or idea.
Who were Jesus’ disciples?
They were ordinary people one was a Pharisee the other was a fisherman (James John (I think)) one was a tax collector.
What did the disciples do?
They preached (teach) healed and fought against evil.
What is a parable?
Short stories that Jesus told that have an important message or meaning. A parable is a simple story which is used to teach people how to live.
What were jesus’s miracles?
He healed many people such as a blind man, paralysed man and a leper (someone who has leprocy) he also walked across water and many other things.
Why did Jesus die?
He died to forgive our sins but also it was because Jesus was accused of blasphemy from the romans/jewish leaders.
How did Jesus die?
By being nailed to a cross (crucifixion)
What is the resurrection?
When Jesus died and came back to life.
Name a parable.
Parable of the lost sheep and more.
Why is the resurrection important?
It shows there is life after death and jesus’s was actually god and not a fake.
