- prevention of stroke and systemic embolis in adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation with one or more of the following risk factors:
- previous stroke
- TIA or systemic embolism
- left ventricular ejection fraction <40%
- symptomatic heart failure
- Age>/= 75 years
- age >/= 65 with diabetes mellitus, CAD, hypertension
What is the MOA of dabigatran?
direct thrombin inhibitor
What is the recommended daily dose of dabigatran?
300mg to be taken as one 150mg capsule 2x daily
