Make a standard solution

A

1) Work out how many moles, and therefore the mass, of the solute you need.
2) Carefully weigh out the solute in a beaker.
3) Add a small amount of distilled water to the beaker and stir until all the solute is dissolved
4) Pour the solution into a volumetric flask, using a funnel to ensure everything goes in.
5) Rinse the beaker and stirring rod with distilled water and add that to the flask as well
6) Top the flask up to the mark, ensuring the meniscus reached it.
