Answer 1

(1) Advise of time/date/place of the trial
(2) Check whether they have given evidence before. Advise them of the procedure
(3) Advise that they can refresh their memory with their written statements etc
(4) Ensure witnesses remain within call (if excluded from courtroom)
(5) Check the jury list and ensure no jurors are known to the witnesses
(6) Warn not to mix or speak with jurors
(7) Advise about witness expenses
