Drill Press
consists of the motor and the spindle assembly.
Head
connected to the spindle assembly and in a electrical supply that operates the pulleys to turn
Motor
part of the spindle assembly and are connected by a belt. The belts are inter changeble to provide diffrent speed settings.
Pulley
the most important part of the drill press that is used to hold the tool and is responsible for its rotation.
Spindle
it is fitted to the spindle that hold the drill bit. It always come with a chuck key to tighten or losen the drill bit installed.
Chuck
Used to tie the table. The work is hold in place by the table during the drilling process. It is a long rod in shape that stands vertical with the table.
Column
It is responsible of the upward and downward movement of the spindle. It is equipped with a spindle return spring to operate the movements easily.
Handle
Used to hold the working material in place. It can be moved upward, downward and rotated around the column as required. Usually equipped with a vise.
Work Table
Used to support the column and stabilize it.
