This is the overall idea of who we think we are. It’s developed through interactions
with others and social comparison.
Self-concept
This is based on the evaluations and judgments we make about our self-concept. It’s
developed through self-efficacy and self-discrepancy theory.
Self-esteem
This involves being conscious of one’s own personality, behaviors, and emotions.

is the judgment of personal performance compared with the
self-ideal.

familial, cultural, and social norms.
