Distinguish between a refugee and asylum seeker

A

Refugee: A person owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group/ political opinion, has fled the country of nationality & is unable/ owing such fear is unwilling to avail himself of protection of that country or who not having a nationality & being outside country of former habitual residence as a result of such events is unwilling to return to it.

Asylum seeker: A person who has left country of origin & formally applied for asylum in another country but whose application has not yet been concluded.
