Power Prayers Flashcards
Pray for Wisdom, in faith
James 1:5-6
James 1:5-6 NKJV
[5] If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. [6] But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
A clean heart, restoration of joy of salvation
Psalm 51:9-12
Psalm 51:9-12 NKJV
[9] Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. [11] Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. [12] Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Eyes of my heart to be enlighten
Ephesians 1:18-19
Ephesians 1:18-21 NIV
[18] I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, [19] and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength [20] he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, [21] far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
A Spirit of wisdom and revelation
Ephesians 1:17 NIV
[17] I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
Arm me with strength and make my way perfect, set me on high places. Teach my hands to make war, hold me up by your right hand, make me great by your gentleness, enlarge the path under me, so my feet do not slip
Psalm 18:32-36 NKJV
[32] It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. [33] He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. [34] He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. [35] You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. [36] You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14 NKJV
[14] Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
For God to strengthen my heart
2 Chronicles 16:9
2 Chronicles 16:9 NIV
[9] For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war. ”
Teach me your ways
Psalm 86:11
Psalm 86:11 NIV
[11] Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
Colossians 1:9-12
Knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; increase of the knowledge of God; strength with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy
Colossians 1:9-14 NKJV
[9] For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; [10] that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; [11] strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; [12] giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. [13] He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, [14] in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Psalm 67:1-2
Cause His face to shine upon me
Psalm 67:1-2 NIV
[1] May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us— [2] so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV
[23] Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; [24] And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
