Ozymandias
Iambic Pentameter to represent the constant flow of time. Intermittent rhyme (sonnet) represents Ramses fading power and the decaying statue

Iambic Tetrameter represents how nothing ever changes and how everything is set out with people. ABAB rhyme scheme represents the same thing as well as sounding like the speaker’s footsteps
The Prelude
Iambic Pentameter without a regular rhyme. Can mean either mankind trying to impose order but nature can’t be controlled as it is so wilde OR that nature is orderly and eternal and it is able to resist the wild nature of mankind.
My Last Duchess
Iambic pentameter to represent the duke’s composure and attempts to control his ex wife. This iambic pentameter breaks down when the duke gets angry. Rhyming couplets represent how the duke is obssessed with his relationship with his last duchess and trying to control it.
The Charge of the Light Brigade
Mainly written in dactylic dimeter to sound like horse hooves. Irregular rhyme scheme of couplets and triplets represent the chaos of the battlefield and scandal
Bayonet Charge
Free verse to represent the chaos of war and the speaker’s chaotic thoughts.
Remains
Free verse makes the poem come off as more personal and chaotic, much like the chaos of war and the speaker’s thoughts
Poppies
Free verse reflect the new freedom of the mother and son ans well as the mother’s lack of structure without her son as well as making the poem more relateable
War Photographer
ABBCD etc. rhyme scheme reflects how people’s dqaily lives are briefly interrupted by news of tragedy. No regular rhythm to give an exposed feel

Free verse to represent how the speaker’s memories make them feel free

Written in free verse to represent how people should be free
Exposure
ABBAC rhyme scheme to create a jarring tone, this is constant to represent how nothing ever changes. No rhythm represents the insanity of the weather
Storm on the Island
Iambic pentameter that breaks when the storm hits but recovers to represent that Ireland can be staggered but not broken. No regular rhyme which represents how Ireland can’t be controlled

Free verse represents how the pilot is free but alos how there is no purpose to his life
