Power thesis:
Women in Othello, do not use their power to their full potential, And lose power throughout the play.

Point: once marries othellos suspicious of Desdemona And lack of trust towards her leads to Desdemonas power disintegrating

Foreshadowing presented in this powerful rhyming couplet creating
A dark and menacing tone, allows audience to see a weakness in Othello, being that he has no control or power over Desdemona.
Thus making Othello prove to himself that he is still in control by lashing out on Desdemona and eventually killing her.
Power point 3: all power lost in Desdemona brings Amelia to show her power
Point: interesting while Othello completely overpowers Desdemona when he murders her, Amelia begins to assert some level of authority upon her friend’s death.

Analysis: the short sentences and assertive tone highlight the fact that she is beginning to stand up to men and assert a degrees of power despite her gender.
