This line breaks the iambic pentameter, showing how he thinks he is better and unique. ‘King of kings’ implies that he thinks he is above all those in power

Shows the rulers fall of power and how he went from ‘king of kings’ to nothing but ‘remains’. Highlights the idea of power being temporary
