Q

What happens to the brightness of bulbs when moved from series to parallel?

A

The parallel combination of resistors reduces the effective resistance of the circuit. Assuming V in V=IR is constant, as R value reduces, I, current increases increases at the same rate (inversely proportional). And since P=IV, The power (brightness) going to the bulbs will be brighter in parallel.
