Describe absolute poverty
A condition where a person is deprived of basic needs, such as food, water, health, shelter, education
Describe relative poverty
A condition where a person lacks the minimum amount of income needed in order to maintain a certain SOL
Which has worse conditions? Relative or Absoloute Poverty?

What is meant by the term ‘development gap’
Difference of development between countries, whether is be social, economic or environmental. North are the high income countries compared to the South (excluding Australia). It is the difference between the richest and poorest with the gap getting bigger.
If a country had a low GNI, would it be high up in the World Happiness Index Rating?
No
Why haven’t HIC’S stopped developing?
