What is the stolon?
A
Connects the potato to the plant.

A
Where the shoot emerges and grow into a new potato plant.

What is the lenticels?
A
A raised part of the potato skin which allows gaseous exchange between the plant and its environment. Once the potato is green (photosynthesising), the lenticels regulate movement of carbon dioxide into the potato and oxygen out into the atmosphere.
