1. use a cork borer to cut 5 potato cylinders of the same diameter
2. use scalpel and ruler to trim each potato cylinder so they are all same length
3. measure the mass of each potato cylinder and record in a table of results
4. produce a serial dilution with different sugar conc in each 10cm3 boiling tube solutions and one with distilled water
   5.add potato cylinders to each boiling tube and leave for certain amount of time
   6.remove potatoes, dry and record the final mass and length
5. calculate % change for each
6. plot graph with change in mass x sucrose conc= point at which line of best fit crosses x-axis= same conc of sugar inside potato and outside potato cell
