Why did labour win the 1945 election so convincingly?
The Beveridge report captured the mood of the country. There was a strong sense that the poverty and inequality of pre-war Britain had to change. At lee was popular. Labour promised to build hoses fast !
What is the NHS?
National Health Service , free to use for all, controlled all hospitals and gave free eye and dental treatment too.
How did education change?
Free for all to age 15. Three types of school Grammar Secondary modern Technical schools ( not many of these )
What were pre-fabs?
Pre-fabricated house. Mass produced and easy to put up.
