When a claim arises/likely to arise, O/C to direct to district commander or national manager for consideration along with a report

What does the report contain
A
- the circumstances in which the SW or statutory power was executed
- the grounds for the execution
- damage caused and the associated circumstances
- outcome of SW or statutory power being executed
- details regarding the owner of the property and the occupier or user of the property at the relevant time
- nature and basis of claim
- any steps taken by police or owner to prevent further loss or damage

Securing premises after a forced entry
A
- liaise with the owner/occupier to secure their own property. If necessary and practicable, wait for a specified period of time for them/someone to arrive to do this OR
- at the occupiers/owners request, engaging a contractor to make the premises secure (make sure they understand they will bear the cost) OR
- attending staff effecting a temporary repair where feasible e.g. boarding up a window
