What does the report contain

A
  • the circumstances in which the SW or statutory power was executed
  • the grounds for the execution
  • damage caused and the associated circumstances
  • outcome of SW or statutory power being executed
  • details regarding the owner of the property and the occupier or user of the property at the relevant time
  • nature and basis of claim
  • any steps taken by police or owner to prevent further loss or damage

Securing premises after a forced entry

A
  • liaise with the owner/occupier to secure their own property. If necessary and practicable, wait for a specified period of time for them/someone to arrive to do this OR
  • at the occupiers/owners request, engaging a contractor to make the premises secure (make sure they understand they will bear the cost) OR
  • attending staff effecting a temporary repair where feasible e.g. boarding up a window
