Post Op Instructions

Question 1

1. No brushing until 4 weeks
2. Do not pull on lips to look at site
3. Use AO gel 3 times a day
4. No electric toothbrushor waterpik for 8 weeks
5. First 24 hours cold liquids only
6. Ice can be used first 24hrs - 15min on 15min off
7. Continue Medrol Dosepak and antibiotic until gone

1. Beginning the day after surgery swish with warm water deep into fold of your lip where tissue graft was placed (continue until pt is back)
2. While putty is present do not brush or floss this area
3. When putty comes off, resume normal brushing and flossing in this area

1. Continue with Amoxicillin until gone
2. No rinsing

4. No straw use
5. In the area of THA use red TB as instructed by Dr. Rubino
6. Brush and floss regularly to aid healing

8. No smoking
