Mindfulness
What are some strengths of Mindfulness?
Focuses patient on the current time
Extremely useful application - MICBT (CBT mixed with Mindfulness) has been used by Teasdale et al in 100s of cases of Chronic Depression
What are some Weaknesses of Mindfulness?
Takes lots of effort to perfect - may not be able to offer a solution to a patient who needs results quickly
Not appropriate for all patients - for example: Hyperactive disorders
