POSITIONING

The womn lies flat on her back or with her trunk slightly raised ( < 45 degree to the horizontal ), her legs may be out straight.
Supine Position
The woman lies flat on her back r with her trunk ightly raised ( < 45 degree to the horizontal ), her legs are bent with her feet flat on the bed.
DORSAL RECUMBENT POSITION
Side- lying position, the patient lies on one side of the body with the top leg in front of the bottom leg nd the hip and knee flexed.
LATERAL POSITIONS
The patient is on their back ith legs flexed and feet in stirrups.
- USED FOR PELVIC EXAMS AND CERTAIN PRENATAL PROCEDURES.
LITHOTOMY POSITION
The manner of arranging the covering in order to epose the part being examined , treated or cleaned.
