16
Q

Describe the effect of a predator-prey relationship on population size

A

First of all predators eat prey reducing the number of prey, with less prey there is greater competition between predators, so predator population decreases, so less predators results in increase in prey population, increase in prey therefore causes predator number to increase

17
Q

Write an equation for population growth

A

Population growth = (B +I) - ( D+E)

18
Q

Define birth rate

A

the number of births per thousand of the population in a year

19
Q

Define death rate

A

the number of deaths per thousand of the population in a year
