A
During the 1970’s, China was heading for famine due to the rapidly increasing population

A
- Couples can only have 1 child
- Couples mustn’t marry until their late 20s
- Permission was needed from the government before couples married and had children
- Family planning is available at work

- Sterilisation after first child or abortion of future pregnancies

- Only children can be spoiled, little emporer syndrome
