Population density tells us how many people live in an area of land.

What is a densely and sparsely populated area?
Densely populated areas have lots of people in an area i.e a high population.
Sparsely populated areas have few people in an area i.e a low population.
What is population distribution?
Population distribution is the spread of people in an area.
What is the worlds population described as?

What continents has the greatest and lowest percentages of the world’s population?
The continent with the greatest percentage of the world’s population is Asia.
The continent with the lowest percentage of the world’s population is Oceania.
What are the two factors affecting population population distribution?
Physical and Human factors.
