What is Enrique story?
-Enrique Canchda is 42 years old and he is Mexican from
Zacatecas. He has a wife and two young daughters. His daughters are often ill.
-He tried to swim across the Rio Grande at night with 10 other people, he got caught and sent back. This time he decided to slice off the top of a leather seat and went inside the cushion. The plan was deadly. His friend drove the car. The guards at the San Ysidoro crossing saw his legs sticking out and they were caught.
-He is doing this because the USA government spends more on education and healthcare than Mexico’s government. He wants to be able to send money home as he doesn’t earn enough in Mexico. His daughters are also ill often so he would want to help pay for their healthcare.
