What is the population cycle?
The population cycle describes what place a country is in relation to birth and death rates
What happens in stage one of the population cycle?
A country in stage 1 is poorly economically developed. The birth and death rates are both very high. These places may be experiencing war, famine or disease.

What happens in stage 2 of the population cycle?
In stage 2 the economy starts to grow. Birth rates remain high but death rates begin to drop. Because of better education, healthcare and food. The population is growing.

What happens in stage 3 of the population cycle?
In stage 3 the economy continues to grow. People begin family planning. Therefore birth rates begin to fall and population goes down.

What happens in stage 4 of the population cycle?
In stage 4 the economy is now developed. People are living longer and having less kids. Population fluctuates and increases slowly
What is an example of a country in stage 4 of the population cycle?
Ireland
What happens in stage 5 of the population cycle?
In stage 5 the economy is very good. Birth rates are going down and people are living very long. The population is now in a natural decrease.
