  1. Poor living conditions in areas with poor sanitation (water and flushing toilets) means that diseases spread quickly.
  2. More elderly people means less people working which can increase the need for more workers.
  3. Pressure on land as more people move in.
  4. Retirement age may be increased so that more people are paying into the tax pot.
  5. Conflict of cultures from migrants an lead to civil wars.
  6. Pressure on healthcare systems and schools as there are not enough places for all of the population.
  7. Too many young people means not enough school places which can leave skills shortages e.g. not enough teachers.
