What are metapopulations?
A regional group of connected populations of a species.
What is seasonality?
The regular and periodic changes of a condition on an annual timescale
What is population growth?
An increase in species/ organism numbers

Dispersal
The action of spreading across or moving away over a large area
Genetic variability
Naturally occurring genetic differences among individuals of the same species
Continuity in time
A long, uninterrupted presence
Fecundity
An organism’s reproductive capacity (the number of offspring it’s capable of producing).
Natality
The ratio of the number of births to the size of that population.
Mortality
The number of deaths in a population during a given time or place
