Lateral to the VI Abducens CN in the pontomedullary sulcus but medial to the VIII CN vestibulocochlear

CN located at the pontomedullary sulcus above the pyramid
Cranial nerve VIII Vestibulocochlear
Lateral to CN VII Facial in the pontomedullary sulcus
Basilar sulcus
Anterior division of the two halfs of the pond
Cranial nerve V Trigeminal
Localed halfway between the medulla and the midbrain on the anterior aspect of the pons.
Larger inferolateral sensory root: portio major
Smaller superiomedial motor root: portio minor
Middle cerebellar peduncle
Continuous with the basilar pons. Also called the brachium Pontis.
Superior cerebellar peduncle
Brachium conjunctivum. Passes from roof of fourth ventricle into the tegmentum of the rostral pons
