Q
Factoring the difference of two squares
A
Any polynomial of the form a^2 - b^2 can be factored into the form (a + b) (a - b)
2
Q
Factoring Polynomials of the form
a^2 + 2ab + b^2 or a^2 - 2ab + b^2
A
A polynomial of these forms is the square of a binomial expression. Check the sign in front of the 2ab term. If positive, then the polynomial is equal to (a + b)^2. If negative, then the polynomial is equal to (a - b)^2.

Q
Quadratic equations : ax^2 + bx + c = 0
A
Many will have two solutions, meaning the equation will be true for two different values of x.
