Politics Flashcards
Define politics
Who gets what resources or values and then when, how and why will be they be distributed.
Difference between domestic and international politics
Domestic: competitive as different individuals and groups (whether that be political parties or interest groups) try to control or influence the government. This is a difference domestically also because the governments here have more authority domestically to enforce and adjudicate laws which bind all within its jurisdiction.
International: While there is competition, there is no government to compete. There are laws which are created, enforced and adjudicated, but this is done so differently as state and non-state actors compete for global power.
What is world/global politics?
It is the interactions of state and non-state actors.
