Old Labour (social democracy)
More left wing, and supported the idea of increasing taxes to pay for public services such as education and health
New Labour (Third Way)
A movement to update Britain’s Labour Party by discarding the traditional Labour platform calling for state ownership of the means of production that attempts to reconcile both the right and the left wing
One Nation Conservatism
Conservatives that view society as organic and value paternalism and pragmatism
New Right
A group of people who believe that government should be made seperate from a country’s economy and that traditional morals are very important
Classic Liberals
A political ideology and a branch of liberalism which advocates civil liberties under the rule of law with an emphasis on economic freedom
Modern liberals
Emerged as a reaction against free-market capitalism, believing that this led to many individuals not being free
Party system
A system of government by political parties in a democratic country
Left wing
The radical, reforming, or socialist section of a political party or system
Rught wing
The conservative or revolutionary section of a political party or system
