first person
A
uses “i”. A character is telling the story. participates in the story. can be reliable or unreliable.

second person
A
uses “you” - the author speaks directly to the reader. mostly non fiction

third person
A
uses “he” or “she” or “it”. the author is telling about the characters.

three third person point of views:
A
- limited omniscient - we ar told the thoughts and feelings of only one chracter (sometimes two or three)
- omniscient - we are told everything about the story, including the though tand feeling of all the characters. also authors.
- dramatic or objective- we are told only what happens and what is said. we do not know any thought or feelings of the characters.

A
mood- authors attitude toward what he or she writes. (humorous, mysterious, creepy, straight forward, matter of fact, exciting, boring etc)
