Abrupt:
Cough,
fever
pleuritic chest pain
gradual:
- dull percussions
- coarse crepitations
- increased vocal resonance
Strep pneumoniae treatment + allergic options
Amoxicillin, Benzylpenicillin
allergy:
clartihromycin, doxycycline.
Haemophillis treatment, including beta lactamase strains + allergy
Amoxicillin
Coamoxiclav
clartihromycin, doxycycline
Symptoms for atypical pneumoniae, such as Mycoplasm pneumoniae
Sore head, fever, aches - more like flu . Maybe still a bit of a cough

Treatment for mycoplasm
no cell wall so beta lactams useless
- Ciprafloxacin
- Clarithromycin
- Doxycyline
Legionella pneumophila treatment
Again cannot use beta lactams as the bacteria is normally inside macrophages
- Clarithromycin
- Ciprofloxacin
- Doxycline (less good)
