Q

parameters?

A
  • should not exceed pt’s diastolic pressure!!
  • 15-20% or more below diastolic pressure. start at lower pressure and set pump according to pt’s comfort
  • most lymphedema therapists recommend arm patients should generally not go above 40mmHG of pump pressure
  • can be used for 1 to 4 hours daily
  • optimal pressure ranges, inflation/deflation cycles, and the length and freq of individual pump sessions have not been established!
