Three
Duties of a BA sector commander:
- Don ‘BA sector’ surcoat
- Coms with each ECPS and IC
- BA sector board:
• clock synced with initial
• name of each ECPS (and CSS)
• record and update info - Ensure Stage 2 applied to all ECPs
- Ensure all ECPs resourced correctly and maintain a sufficient reserve
- Regularly update IC
- Establish and record relief requirements
- Maintain suitable and sufficient records
- Provide BAETs to each ECP and a reserve BAET to stand by in the BA sector
- Establish and monitor a BA equipment pool
- Take O&R for BA welfare and establish a rest, recuperation and hydration area.
- Establish a BA maintenance area away from the scene of operations. Ensure BA maintenance resource pack is available (RPE resource pack 11, on OSU).
- Ensure any DTW procedures and notifications are followed.
- Use an additional BA sector board to record other brigades/agencies BA commitment/availability at the incident.
