What is PMS
Physical and emotional symptoms that affect your quality of life in the 1st 2 weeks prior to menstrual cycle and symptoms improves once the period starts.
Management of PMS
1- CBT, new 2nd generation COC drospirinon cyclical or continuous B6, water Citalopram continuous or leuteal phase , 10 mg from day 15-28
2- estradiol patch 100mg with micronised progestogen 100-200 mg day 17-28
dose of citalipram to 20-40 mg, continuous or in luteal phase.
3- gonadotropin analogous 6 months, back up with continuous estrogen and progesterone in the form of estrogen patch 80-100 mg with continuous micronised progestogen 100 mg. Or tibilone 2.4 mg
4- Hysterectomy and BSO. + HRT.
