definition of PMDD
A
- premenstrual dysphoric disorder
- dysphoric symptoms limited to the luteal phase; typically with severe form of Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
- severe symptoms

what are lifestyle modifications?
A
- daily aerobic exercise
- some dietary modifications may be helpful: reduced caffeine, increased carbs, supplement with calcium and vitamin B6

pharmacologic therapy
A
SSRI or SNRI- either continuous or in luteal phase only
COCs
GnRH agonists

surgicla therapy
A
if refractory to everything - can do oopherectomy; need to prove with gnrh agonist before than symptoms would improve
