Ordinal directions refer to the direction found
at the point equally between each cardinal
direction.
DEGREES
A horizontal arc or angle measured from a
north reference line, in a clockwise direction,
to a point of interest some distance away
from the point of measurement. Inland
navigation the terms bearing and azimuth
are interchangeable.
