A data Lake House was invented by DT, combining advantages of both.
Almost limiteless storage, no schema definition –> in a nutshel, Ingesting, process, retain and Analyze petabyte of data in real time.
What is OneAgent?
application to collect all operational and biz performances data from ALL environments.
Storage, servers, services, DB, applications and EACH layer of the infrastructure
AppeEngine?
it’s a low code level to allow users to build and deploy custom apps.
it’s found in the HUB and dynatrace developer
What’s AutomationEngine?
it’s an application to run workflows and simplify DevOps recurrent tasks. It runs with low code approach, but as well as complex query.
Among the options:
- triggers schedules and rules
- Remediation and delivery
- routing of security vulnerability
- Infrastrcuture provisioning
what is Dynatrace Platform Subscription, or DPS?
it’s a flexible licencing agreement that allows customers to get flexible access to DT. it means, access to all app, but pay as needed (as consumption).
Flexibility = any app to scale as needed
Simple contract = rates known in advanced, flexible hourly pricing
No Hidden Fees = no minimum, no per-user, no surprise charges
What are 2 components to DPS?
Annual Commit and Rate Cards
Annual Commit = 12 months pre paid , calculated based on annual consumption.
The larger the commit, the lower on demand pricing and Higher Discount on rate card
Rate cards = straightforward hourly price list for all services. it’s listed online and transparent. we check consumption and inovice monthly based against annual commit.
No surcharges, all transparent.
Wht’s Account Management Portal?
forecast cost trend analysis. it allows biz owners to understand and identify cost drivers on the consumption based model.
it avoids surpsise costs
How does cost monitoring work?
DT allows user to track costs after 30 days from licencing. it tracks average usage and sends alerts on:
- anything out of track
- increase in usage of events
it allows notification via API or Email for promt action.
Can a user decide which type of Monitoring they want?
yes. infrastructure monitoring is always there, but full stack (application layer and web services) and Real user monitoring can be accessed when needed. depends on biz case
what is DT Network Monitoring?
provides insights into the quality of the communication between Hosts and Processes
In Smartscape topology, how many groups of services can be found?
Clustered - same service in multiple processes, but SAME process group
Separate - same service in multiple processes, but multiple process group
Opaque - not monitored but detected
What is DEM?
digital experience monitoring - it’s real user monitoring. including Voice of Customer, Social Media, Analytic data. it’;s basicallty the perceived customer experience based on traces on the applications (Web, Mobile, Custom)

24x7 global visibility. making sure your system is bullet proof before access/ user usage or if users are not there
