what
what to do

A

DIP joint
Injury to extensor tendon at terminal insertion into distal phalanx (usually from forced flexion in extended position—“jammed finger”).
Unable to extend DIP.
Refer plastics. If no fracture usually conservative management with splint in extension. If significant fracture may need OR.
